Performance art East, Northeast, West will explore the development of performance art in Eastern Europe, North America, and the Northeast of Scotland, highlighting connections between artists that occurred along the way. The conference will feature a roster of researchers who specialise in the performance art, as well as performances by artists from Eastern Europe. It is free and open to the public, but registration is essential. The conference takes place at King’s College at the University of Aberdeen: on Friday, 30 October we will be in the Linklater Rooms, and on Saturday, October 31, on the 7th floor of the stunning Sir Duncan Rice Library.

The conference is being organised in conjunction with the Peacock Visual Arts’ performance art festival TIPA (This is Performance Art). Attendees of the conference are welcome to attend the performances and vice versa. The events have been organised so that those interested can attend both, with no overlap of schedules. The programme for TIPA can be found here.
